Igor Toma

I was born in Moldova and have lived in Ireland for over 20 years, where I built both my personal and professional life. I also operate a technology R&D company in Moldova, which has given me a deep appreciation for the cultural and economic bridges between the two countries.

Professionally, I am the Founder & CEO of NUACOM, a cloud communications company that I grew from a local startup into a global organisation with 50 staff across 10 countries. Over the past decade, I have led NUACOM’s transformation into an AI-driven communications innovator, serving clients across Europe and now preparing for expansion into the US. As a founder, I had to wear many hats, which gave me hands-on experience and a practical understanding of every business function—from Sales, Marketing, and Operations to Finance, HR, and Strategy.

I am also the SaaStock Founder Members (SFM) Ambassador for Ireland, where I represent and support the community of Irish founders within this international network. This role allows me to connect entrepreneurs, foster peer-to-peer learning, and share best practices in scaling businesses.

Through my R&D company in Moldova, I have created jobs and facilitated knowledge transfer between Ireland and Moldova. I believe strongly that Moldova’s tech talent, combined with Ireland’s innovation ecosystem, offers unique opportunities for collaboration and growth.

In addition, I am passionate about AI, entrepreneurship, and community-building, and I share insights regularly on LinkedIn to contribute to the broader professional dialogue.

Through the Moldova–Ireland Business & Professionals Network, I hope to contribute my experience in leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, and business development to strengthen ties, create opportunities, and support the next generation of Moldovan and Irish professionals.
